LET’S DISCOVER THE DARSENA
Brusca Grass Alzaia Naviglio Pavese 286,
Along the Naviglio, in full nightlife, hoping that “fashionistas and influencers” respect the rules: masks and distances. This is exactly what Chef Alice Delcourt hopes for, otherwise they make her close the place again …
Vista Darsena Viale Gabriele D’Annunzio 20
Chef Stefano Cerveni, sort of a bar with kitchen, practically on the water’s edge.
Al Garghet Via Selvanesco, 36
Iconic Milanese trattoria, botanical garden and terrace. The classic Milanese “elephant ear” cutlet is traditionally delicious (but the last time it was too dry…) Trattoria Aurora Via Savona, 23
Traditional cuisine, concrete, of substance, and very good wines. Piedmontese dishes, an informal setting and of course an internal garden for lunch among the greenery. I simply adore!

Milan meets New York: home cooking and some pro-American dishes.Reopens on May 1st.
Ratanà Via de Castilla 28.
Inspired by the Prèt de Ratanà, the legendary Milanese priest who seems to have worked miracles. True or fake? The mondeghili, historic meatballs of advanced meats, are miraculously good here. 70 seats in the outdoor area, book in advance.
4Cento via Campazzino 14
A well-kept garden, lots of fish dishes, grilled meat, reasonable prices:
Acquacheta, via Erodoto 2

THE TERRACES
Osteria con Vista, Viale Emilio Alemagna 6
Stunning view from the Triennale Terrace. Traditional-innovative cuisine by Stefano Cerveni. On the ground floor, on the other hand, there is the Caffè in Giardino, ideal for an aperitif in the private park.
Clotilde Brera, Piazza San Marco 6
Terrace-bistro in the heart of Old Milan. The protagonist is the cuisine (which I love to madness …) by Domenico Della Salandra. Reservation required.
Perfect for the weekend lunch, also because the menu was curated by the Cerea brothers, three Michelin stars (sorry if it’s not enough …) while the Lebano brothers work in the kitchen.Satisfaction garantee.
Palestro Terrace via Palestro 2
Elegant, seasonal menu, gourmet snacks, signature cocktails and stunning views
Glam Glam Glam! Milan skyline at your feet, swimming pool, American bar, the fashion touch of Dsquared2 and the creations of chef Elio Sironi.
COURTYARDS, GARDENS AND… LET’S DANCE !
La Brisa via Brisa 15
Outdoor garden, passable service …. I was there, invited by the Italian falous singer Marcella Bella, illustrious habituée of the place. I remember little of the menu (bad sign) except for the fantastic sauteed vegetables with pine nuts and anchovies. The bill wasn’t that cheap… luckily I was invited ….
Magna Pars restaurant via Forcella 6
A moment of tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the trendy neighborhood. A secret garden in a small courtyard set between the hotel walls, Osteria Casa Tua Via Lodovico Muratori 10,

Balera dell’Ortica Via G.A. Amadeo 78
All outdoors: bowling, music, dance floor and a restaurant, perhaps not the best in town, but who cares? The important thing is having fun.
“Signorina, would dance with me ?” …
WHAT ABOUT THE MICHELIN STARRED ONES?
Silk / Bistro Via Andegari 9.
From May 4th, Chef Antonio Guida will be hosted by the luxurious Mandarin Hotel to transform his restaurant into an elegant terrace in the garden of the Hotel. “…
Chef Viviana Varese does not take possession of the large outdoor area in Piazza Venticinque Aprile (perhaps Eataly took it over) and prefers to migrate to Sicily to open VIVA Villa Dorata in Noto, which should open at the end of May.
Aalto, Above, Piazza Alvar Aalto / Viale della Liberazione
Reopening? Outdoor space? They hermetically answered “We are evaluating” Alchemy Viale Premuda 34
It earns an urban terrace, extending into the spaces of its former Bistro Bar. Cuisine, signed by the starred chef Giuseppe Postorino, champion of understandable eating, within the reach of all palates.
Enrico Bartolini, Via Tortona 56
Will the three Michelin stars be able to illuminate the outdoor tables of the award-winning restaurant located on the third floor of the Mudec Museum, Museum? Who knows … answer not received.
Contraste Via Giuseppe Meda, 2
As if by magic, on May 7th the Contraste gate will open for all those who love the magical cuisine of Matias Perdomo that be will be served in the outdoor area where you will taste the magical dishes of the chef who has transformed the courtyard into a brilliant outdoor area where you can enjoy his starred cuisine.
Voice in the Garden Via Manzoni,
10In the heart of Milan, the garden that once belonged to Alessandro Manzoni becomes a splendid outdoor area where design, atmosphere and elegance intertwine with the dishes of the brilliant starred duo Dario Pisani and Alessandro Laganà, one of my favorite chefs. Not to be missed!
TWO HOT TIPS FOR YOU!
Antica Osteria Il Ronchettino Via Lelio Basso, 9
A bit of history: Napoleon is said to have spent a night in this old inn in 1800, when his horse became lame (the word “ronchetto” is the contraction of “broken hoof”). Over the years the building has been been transformed into a bakery, butcher and restaurant.
Today it houses a rustic but elegant restaurant led by Chef Simone Zanon who opens the lovely garden and offers a succulent traditional and revisited Milanese cuisine (but fortunately not too much …) Friendly, kind and caring atmosphere starting with the heating turrets, up to warm blankets for ladies …
Antica Osteria La Rampina, Via Rocca Brivio, San Giuliano Milanese
A “rebirth” rather than a “reopening,” Like the phoenix, the Rampina is reborn after the terrible fire that recently destroyed the historic part of this restaurant. which, in addition to the delicacy and authenticity of the cuisine, was one of the favorites of the great Gualtiero Marchesi.
The garden and the centenary wisteria are a sight. Leading a fierce, tireless and valiant team is the chef-master Luca Gagliardi. Want to know a “rebirth” dish from the new summer menu? Lemon risotto with capers, rosemary and Cantabrian Sea anchovies.
