Roll the dough into strips around an aluminum cannoli cylinder. Brush the dough on the cylinder with half of your melted butter.
Cook the cannoli in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes at 180°C.
Meanwhile, mix 70 g of sugar with the cinnamon in a bowl. As soon as they come out of the oven, brush the kürtoskalács with the remaining butter and sprinkle them with the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Finally, leave the cannoli to cool before taking it out of the mold and enjoying it.
Once cooked, this Hungarian cannoli is sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, or poppy seeds, and eaten hot or cold, as you like. Already starting to smell it? These sweet chimneys can also be eaten while sipping a good grappa. Let’s try to redo in our kitchens the ancient Kürtoskalács recipe, a typical dessert of the ancient pastry shops of Budapest.
